Keynote speaker, Vance Corum

Vance Corum

Over the last 30+ years Vance Corum has worked on the development and renovation of hundreds of farmers’ markets across the U.S., and studied many markets in Europe, Asia and South America. His experience has made him a featured speaker at conferences across the continent, and in Cuba and India.

Reviewing a 7-vendor market in Astoria, OR, he recommended four changes: location, day of week, name and rules. Within months he created the Astoria Sunday Market, now a $2 million seasonal market. In 2010 he crafted the West Palm Beach GreenMarket relocation plan to the City’s new $30 million Waterfront Plaza, a huge success.

Small town or large city, Corum is inspired to build marketing opportunities for America’s small entrepreneurs. He eagerly tackles challenges that combine site assessment, vendor outreach, promotion program, special events, management plan and research – customer, vendor and feasibility studies.

His book, THE NEW FARMERS’ MARKET is based on his lifelong dedication to expanding farmer, rancher, food and other small business enterprises. Corum continues to link farms and cities with multiple projects, magazine articles and presentations to build a stronger local food movement.

Get Authorized to Accept SNAP at your Market
